It is a live event hosted by Victoria& Albert’s Museum in London, featuring the greatest fashion designers of our time. At the same time it aims to promote and support young fashion designers, showing their work to a wide audience.
Craig Lawrence graduated from the London college in 2009 and decided to establish his own label, after working for Gareth Pugh for over 6 seasons. Known for his modern and playful approach, Craig Lawrence brought many innovations in the world of knitwear, starting from the materials.
For his 2012 live show, he proposed knitted dress made in sweet wrappers, gold foil, bin bags and Kyototex (a Japanese metallic covered yarn).
A particular dress inspired this recipe: HUMMUS WITH RED BEETROOT! With this hot weather, the willingness to cook next to the cookers seems to have disappeared, but with this recipe you will not sweat not even a bit!
Recipe for a bowl of hummus with red beetroot:
- 1 can of pre-cooked chickpeas (about 150 gr)
- half onion
- 3 spoons of tahini
- half lemon juice
- 150 gr of boiled red beetroots
- 1 spoon of cumino powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- extra virgin olive oil
Add in a mixer the chickpeas, the onion, the tahini, the lemon juice, the beetroots, the cumino powder and the salt. Whisk until you obtain a smooth mixture.
Then add the extra virgin olive oil and the water to give to the hummus the right consistency and creaminess.
